Medical premiere in Sibiu: The first case of rupture thoracic aortic aneurysm was successfully operated

“National medical premiere in Sibiu after the patient had no chance of survival. The first case of thoracic aortic aneurysm broken, endovascularly treated, was accepted by Professor Victor Costache and the Heart Team in Sibiu after he was previously refused by two famous Cardiovascular Diseases Institute, due to complications “

National premiere at the Faculty of Medicine in Sibiu: they saved a life through two holes of 3 cm

The doctors from Lucian Blaga University of Sibiu, together with the NextCardio endovascular research center and with specialists from the European Hospital Polisano Sibiu, saved the life of a man diagnosed with “broken infrared abdominal aortic aneurysm”. Sibiu physicians treated the patient, for the first time at national level, by endovascular technique.

Endovascular aortic repair with multilayer graft for aortic dissection – results from Nextcardio

The multilayer flow modulator (MFM) has shown promising results in the treatment of complex aortic pathologies, especially when branch arteries are involved, including a few reported cases of dissection. We present our single center experience and results with this technique.

Twelve-Month Outcome of patiens treated for chronic symptomatic aortic dissection using the streamliner multilayer flow modulator

Purpose: This study reports the initual 12-month oucomes of patiens treated for chronic symptomatic aortic dissection (CSAD) by yhe Streamliner Multilayer flow modulator (SMFM). Primary endpoints were freedom from rupture and aortic related death, as well as reduction in false lumen index. Secondary endpoints were patency of great vessels and visceral branches, and freedom from stroke, paraplegia, and renal failure.

Systematic Review and Patient-Level Meta-analysis of the Streamliner Multilayer Flow Modulator in the Management of Complex Thoracoabdominal Aortic Pathology

Purpose: To examine the safety and short-term efficacy of the Streamliner Multilayer Flow Modulator (SMFM) in the management of patients with complex thoracoabdominal aortic pathology who are unfit for alternative interventions.
